HP teams up with DRE for audibook

dre headphones were the worst I've heard
A nearby computer store has a display with a couple styles of music you can hear through these flimsy things and they all sound HORRIBLE. Too much bass, no mids, harsh highs. Great job!

I'll break the news that none of us are the target market for this product. There is strong potential for this product in the home - beats - studio crowd.
Honestly it's probably just a good laptop with a celebrity endorsement.

FWIW I have (and would again) paid that much for a laptop.

We got the HP Envy in my store today. I thought it was an absolute piece of trash. They made it to look like the Macbook Pro's. First problem is its made from metal but its not a machined unibody so it feels flimsy. Additionally, when you add the "extended life battery" which they claim does 18 hours (we got it to perform a little over 7 on the battery) it adds an additional 5 pounds. So, more than a comparable macbook pro, doesn't have a built in optical drive, bad case build, and pretty bad for mobility. I wanted to like it but it just looked like a bad attempt to compete with Apple whilst missing all of the cool design elements.
