Okay so im recording a super fast tech deathmetal band, and its for a label.

I use cubase 5.

and the tempo to most the album is 320

well i can only get the click to go to 300

what the hell should i do.

if i just make it half time of 320 its going to fuck them up when tracking so i can not go with that.

haha 320 is not a real tempo brother.

I mean.. It is, but it's not tangible.. Just use 160.

hahaha no dude this bands actually at 320 i thought they were just fucking with me, its probably the fastest shit i have heard in awhile, there drummer is fast as fuck, there signed to a Russian label thats about all i know,

but there fast as hell.

If you can't play with a half time click you can't play with a click-- particularly at that speed. No one should need to hear a click 5 times a second.

Not only that, but such a fast click is useless; it's practically impossible to discern any kind of note subdivisions at that tempo.

I agree that the tempos are probably not being calculated in the best way. Don't think of them playing 1/8 notes at 320bpm, think of it as them playing 1/16 notes at 160 (just as an example).
