Hurricane season

we are being hit w tornadoes and heavy rain - thanks Lee!
had a tornado touch down just up the street from here - trees flying (a la the cow scene in Twister) etc...but for now, still safe!

And now I must confess,
I could use some rest.
I can't run at this pace very long.
Yes, it's quite insane,
I think it hurts my brain.
But it cleans me out and then I can go on.

Say hello to Maria and Nate. Meanwhile, Katia is being a good driver and avoiding the E. Coast and Bermuda...but will still be an extratropical hurricane when she arrives near the UK. (!)

Tropical Storm Lee pretty much broke summer's hold on Atlanta, maybe for the rest of the season. We went from highs in the 90s at the beginning of Dragon*Con to highs around 72 with stratus overcast and rain/drizzle. I was reallly glad I packed a couple of pairs of long pants, since Lee pretty much came out of nowhere.
Areas to the north, including 'my' part of Tennessee (Cleveland and Polk Co., my home-away-from-home during the summer) got as much as 10.5" of rain from Lee. :!:

Highs here are expected to be in the upper 80s late in the current forecast period, but that's better than mid-90s. :heh:
