I just used my Marshall MG head as a ghetto DI box. In through the fx return, out through the line out. Totally discovered by accident.

You may now flame me for owning an MG. :hotjump:

The amp and matching cab sound like shit. I usually have to totally dime all mids and bass to get rid of that nasty sizzle shit. But I'd never tried to record it direct. So, one day I figured I'd get some nasty sizzle out of it and throw an impulse in front of it like I would Lecto. Well, I mixed up the cables, ended up plugging into the fx return, and out the line out (I know. Wtf, right?) and straight into the microphone in on this laptop. I used the Loop mix control for gain and it actually came out usable.

And there will be a clip soon.

One ghetto mix with DFH and ghetto bass. (Yeah, I'm hardcore cheap right now)

The guitars were just TS, Nick Crow's Wagner Sharp, and LeCab with a couple God's Cab impulses. Eventually I shall post (in the mix section)an updated version with either TSE x30 or the 8505 ampsim. I just can't believe I could have used a stupid MG head as a ghetto DI box. I've had the damn thing for like 2 years and this is the best thing I can use it for.

Thank you for the compliments on the riffs, by the way. It means a lot.
