i am bored. someone IM me

the higher ups here do not subscribe to any management philosophy newer than that of Capt. Bligh's. if an employee cannot be seen, ipso facto, he must be up to the debil's bidness.

and in completely unrelated but because I'm bored news, we all just got this email:

I regret the need to send out the following message, and I hope the offender is not a CSOC employee. In fact, I have a hard time believing that it would be. However, we've had two reports recently of someone smoking in the section 4 ladies restroom. Smoking in any Government building, of course, is prohibited and violators are subject to disciplinary action. The DLA Table of Penalties recommendation for this offense is: 1st offense: repimand to 1-day suspension; 2nd offense: 1 to 5 day suspension; 3rd offense: 5-day suspension to removal.

I can assure everyone, that if we determine who the offender is (CSOC employee or someone else), appropriate disciplinary action will be taken.

Mahlon C. Boyer

Deputy Director

as you can see, we have a "Table of Penalties". Remarkably, it does not include flogging at the grate.

All estate, inheritance, succession and other taxes, domestic or foreign, arising by reason of my death (including any “generation-skipping” transfer tax imposed by Chapter 13 of the Code, or any corresponding provision of state law, attributable to “direct skips”, as defined in Section 2613 of the Code, of which I shall be the transferor, as so defined, but excluding any Federal or state generation-skipping transfer tax on any other generation-skipping transfers), together with any interest and penalty thereon, which shall be attributable to property passing under this will, shall be charged against and paid from my residuary estate. Any of such taxes, interest, and penalty which shall be excluded from the direction of payment as hereinabove provided shall be charged against and paid in the manner provided by applicable law.

my job is getting boring lately :(

well. l guess at least i can say that when i write these things they insure that no estranged and horrible asshole family members of my gay/HIV+ clients can crawl out of the woodwork and try to take their money right after they die, after ignoring them for years, or worse, take their body. that's essentially my job.
