I am going to the London DT show and...

I have never been to the venue before and I plan on recording the show on my MD recorder.
How strict is security at the Garage ?
Will I be able to get my MD inside the venue, without being busted ?

I should have expected this from a Welshman If you see a Welsh giant around, just give the mic to him, and the security won't dare to come close. Seriously though, I can't really say. I think Wanderingblade could shed some light on this question.

Never been to the Garage. Seen plenty of cameras at Mean Fiddler, so I'm guessing you'll get away with it - but don't take my word for it.

Well first off I am no Welshman
I was born in England, moved to Australia when I was 12, spent 22 years their, now back in the UK.

I've recorded many shows, the hard part is getting past security, as long as you don't get frisked down the front of your pants you are safe (which happend when I saw Manowar/Motorhead/Dio in Helsinki in Dec 99).

The recording is purely for my own benifit and those who attend the show, I usually make a nice cover for it. they pretty much almost turn out well, depending on the in house sound of course.

Anyway I am easy to spot, tall 6 4", short hair, goatee, black glasses and will be wearing all black and a Children of Bodom 'Breeding Hate Across Europe' shirt, won't be moving too much or clapping

For what it's worth, my ticket says "no unauthorised tape recorders, professional film or video equipment allowed into the venue. Cameras for personal use allowed."

I am also 6'4" have short hair, a goatee and will be wearing all black. Stop being me.

No problem with recording, but the venue(the Garage)sucks &
"Suger fett" and the sound is always very bad
