I am Ozzy

I personally don't think he wrote much of his solo material. He may say to the other musicians he wants to sing about getting high for instance. Then the other musicians would then write the song about that. I remember in high school when he was getting sued for the song "Suicide Solution". I always thought that Ozzy wrote the lyrics to that song. He sounded like he did when he was testifying. Then I learn years later that Bob Daisley wrote that song. That basically killed the illusion I had of Ozzy and his creative effort toward his albums. He was like Sinatra (wrote nothing) and Elvis (wrote some but not many) in that way. Nothing wrong with that, but he has made it seem like that he has written these songs.

I am a HUGE Sabbath fan, and meeting Ozzy would be cool.
Though I don't want to spend hours in line with a bunch of Ozzfest nu metal fans who think Ozzy is "So kewl and evil dood", and think The Osbournes is the greatest TV show of all time.

I gave up on the signing. Got to Barnes & Noble at 8am, an hour before the store opened, and there were hundreds of people in line already, many of them had camped out overnight. Waited for 2 hours and a B&N employee made an announcement about how the process would work. I was in an area of the line that was "at risk" of not getting a wristband, which guaranteed the purchase of 2 autographed books when the signing started at 1:30. We would need to stick around in an "overflow" line, waiting for up to another 5 hours outside, in the event that Ozzy felt like sticking around to sign more books.

Screw that. I love Ozzy, but standing outside in 15 degree weather for 7 hours is too much for me. So I left - I've got things I need to do today.

Yeah....my boyfriend is still there. He was one of the people in the back of the line as well. I couldn't believe it when he told me that people camped out. That is nuts. It was freezing last night. Nehoo, I don't blame you for leaving.

Fuck that. I too love Ozzy and will probably end up getting that book at some point but that's not worth it. I was out so damn late last night that I didn't even bother attempting, and from what it sounds like, it sounds like a good idea.
