It's funny because the bass was one of those fender jazz rip off basses and the kid left it at my house because it had old strings on it, I boiled the shit out the strings cleaned the whole thing up ran it through sansamp into pod than an l1 than some more compression (ssl comp) eq. Also got the complete performance 100% tight, Spent time getting the correct amount of clank per take.
And the clipping master was because i was just bouncing my 90% mastered stuff to the band to listen too before i finalized it but they loved it and went and put it everywhere so i kind of just dealt with it. Thanks for the kind words!

I wouldn't recommend it for more than just a song or two, If you have string cleaner handy that also can help maintain a good degree of clank

Remember this next time you get a bass with horrible old strings.
