I bought a LTD EC-1000 with alnico 2 pro.

Are this pickups (seymour duncan alnico ii pro) useless for heavy music?
Any experciences with this type of guitars-pickups ?
Wich p.u do you recomend instead?

goldtop guitars always give me that "classic" and "vintage" feeling, so i assume that the pickups are in this level also.
white EMG's would look damn sexy in this one!

Probably gonna get you into 80s thrash territory easily and will sound good. Slash uses these I think. (not that I like his tone or think hes good or whatever, but its definitely a capable tone )

Sorry, my EC has EMGs in it. My other guitar has passive Gibsons though. I like both guitars.
