i haven't heard anything but the "war is my shepard" song. i imagine based on that song that they aren't breaking any real new ground but their is an authenticity to it which is undeniable to me and i can only hope the album is as good as i hope.

if you want to hear exodus trying new things, listen to force of habit. that was hands down their best album and has alot of different shit on there which is cool.

this new album is just them bgeing hateful spiteful thrash metallers again.

Yeah it's quite a cool album, very heavy. Of note are the often hilarious lyrics, which are so incredibly fucking offensive that it becomes funny.

Examples:
'Impale your wife,
Slay your son,
Another gory mess!'

'Small woman, big man,
It takes a lot of guts,
You're just a pussy in the first place'

Etc.

I don't think the vocalist is that good. I can stand him though. Cool album overall.
