I, Deception

I was listening it (the billionth time) today and I just have to ask - I'm relatively new to this genre of music, but I know that either in an Opeth song or album title the phrase 'Drapery falls' is mentioned, as it is in I, Deception: "As the drapery falls...."

Can someone explainto me what it means?!
I have no idea. Thanx.

By the way I like this track a lot more now than I did at first.
I like the electronic 'heart beat' type thing that comes into play about 2/3rds way through.....

since "drapery" is an elaborate word that meanw curtains, or veil, i assume that the sentence is close in meaning to "as curtains fall", i.e.: when all is said and done, when things are over etc. etc.
maybe there's more, but my external temperature doesn't allow me to get too deep right now.

more: they couldn't mention curtains again since they'd already been doing that on "alone". so they needed another word. hence, drapery. but it still sounds very funny to me

however, i add to my previous hasty reply that maybe it could also mean the unveiling of something, with the drapery falling being like a veil hiding a work of art or i don't know what else.

you're right... i somehow forgot this song is called i, deception.
it makes sense that he's talking about a veil hiding the truth and some sort of betrayal.

why do i sound like i need a vacation when i just had one?
