I drilled a hole into my finger

Which will put me outta playing guitar for a while. It went an inch and a half deep and there were metal shavings in the wound, so I got to watch a doctor numb my finger up and dig into it. Also there was some fat sticking out of the wound after it happened, which the doctor had to clip off. That was interesting to watch!

About an hour after it happened:

Those little chunks haning out are the fat.


Here's what it looks like today.. They couldn't stitch it up because the skin was too scrambled up.

I've done similar with an automatic screwdriver before, I was screwing in one of those permanently attached washer/screw combos where the edge of the washer was serrated, ripped my fanger up real good when the screwdriver went BRRRRRRAAAAAP on full power. luckily it was the picking hand not the fretting hand. get well soon!

Haha no. When the doctor showed me that's how deep it was I said 'fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu'. He said it was on an angle, JUST missing the bone. I didn't believe him, so he stuck some tongs into the wound and FUUUUUUU!! Trippy shit to watch but I loved every second of it.

That's actually what I did.. Just using an automatic screwgun and the bit slipped out of the screw head when I was guiding it in, and next thing I knew there was a fountain of blood coming out of my finger.

The angle, if you can imagine, was towards the base of my hand/towards my pinky.

Screwguns/Nailguns are pure evil. While working as an EMT, I've seen several people who (sometimes seriously) injured themselves with those things.
One dude really went across his hand and arm up to the ellbow with a nailgun. And he didn't stop it very quickly. It looked quite.. interesting with all the nails in his limb

Your doctor should prescribe you antibiotic. If not, start taking some pau d'arco. It's really effective against microbial infection, you can get it in capsule or tea form. However, don't take it if you have clotting or liver problems.
