I'm still really enjoying this album.
Not as much as Monumension or Below the Lights, but those two are fucking brilliant pieces of art.
The only other stuff I've heard was Vikingliger Veldi and I was not entirely impressed, but I only listened to it once. When I go through their back catalogue someday, I might change my thinking on this.
To me, this is the kind of shit that keeps metal alive: progressive in the literal essence of the word. Other than stuff like Neurosis and Isis, but those are at different ends of the perspective as it were.
Should probably pick up Ruun someday. I'm behind the times really, but these dudes don't make albums you can absorb in a few days. These things take time, just like Rice Crispies Treats.
