east coast touring is so cake. all your damn cities are awfully close together. as opposed to travelling anywhere from SF which takes at least 4 hours or more.

Yeah my last band did a 10 day tour which ranged the majority of the coast and we didn't have to drive more than like 4 or 5 hours a day absolutely tops.

i saw Time of Orchids in CT. i didn't like them as much as Zs or the Flying Luttenbachers (well...Weasel Walter alone, because he fired the rest of his band the week before or something), who they played with, but i found them interesting and i think i could've gotten more out of the show than i did.

i remember they were all wearing short shorts and the singer was playing this tiny casio keyboard? i think.

I'm not the best with descriptions, but Time of Orchids play a sort of out of kilter dance/pop no-wave music that is extremely technical. It blends good songwriting and fun jams together with kickass chops.
