There should be an option for it on the program you use (check up at the properties thing if there is one) it should be somewhere in the options. I think you have to burn it in Disc At Once mode (DAO) theres two options, one is DAO one is something else, its either DAO you need, or the other one. Fucking hell this probably isnt helping. Anyway, there is an option in most programs for what you need, I just dont know what it is off hand, ill see if I can find out
I never figured out how to do it with Nero, but it is easy with the program that came with my computer, that Adaptec Easy CD Creator thingo. You use DAO like Spawn said. Problem with that program though is that I never figured out how to burn more than a 650MB cd. Oh well.
With Nero, create your compilation, right click the track you want to get rid of the pause from and hunt around for the "pause between tracks" option and set it to 0. You can't do it for the very first track though.
To burn more than 650 meg, well, you just burn more than 650 meg. Are you sure you've got 80min CDs?
