I have not fucked with this in Pro Tools...

Loren Littlejohn

Lover of all boobage.
But damnit it is SO fucking easy to do a custom tempo track in cubase (in instances when the drummer is less than great and thus making it easier to program that shit). I FUCKING LOVE IT.

I would love to see if it's as easy in pro tools though, how do you make a tempo track in cubase while aligning the tempo changes to transients? :kickass:

What??
could it be that you sometimes confused PT and CUB in your post? :D

"it's so easy in Cubase...does it work in PT...how do you make it in Cubase?"

or perhaps I just didn't understand your question.

if you wanna know how to do it in PT:
Beat Detective ("extract"...)
in Cubase I usually did it by hand...just clicked (or ctrl clicked or something...dunno atm) on the transient in timewarp-mode

Select the drum tracks, open up beat detective, extract tempo. Whats the problem?

It's just a bummer because that doesn't seem nearly as fast as dragging and lining up the timeline with the drum transients visually. I sort of have the feeling it's not as accurate either.

Like I said guys I absolutely LOVE pro tools and was really hoping the method was similar.
