Here's the outro to one of my tunes. I've not done any processing to any of the tracks but would appreciate some input from folks out there as to what to start with.

the end is a mixture of pink floyd and muse ;D ditch the first 53 secs prog metal part haha

I like the music but you need a real drummer.

heh...if you can find me one that can play it and is willing to record it for free, sure :)

"the end is a mixture of pink floyd and muse ;D ditch the first 53 secs prog metal part haha"

Not a chance. It would ruin the entire flow of the song. This is just a snippet from the outro.

Sounds great. Should be easy to mix when its time... The guitars are awesome. I liked a bunch of parts of those solos.

Thanks dude. I'm worried that if I start messing with it, I'll end up completely fucking it up so I'm looking for a few starting pointers. Finger crossed eh?

id start with some more drum velocities, sounds like everything is at one level for the most part. after that I would work mostly on balance because that's the key to a great prog mix. drums also need some roomy ness. Your a great player also so make sure we can here those guitars! Also loving the kill bill/eagles vibe at the end! good stuff man keep us posted.

lol You are the second person to say "that Kill Bill vibe" :D I need to watch that movie!

Thanks for the tips. I did use some reverb on the drums but you'd say to go even further?

in the beginning they just feel really dry/fake. try sending snare and toms to a separate bus with more verb to give them more space/depth. I guess a more accurate comparison to the ending section would be Ennio Morricone, the man is a damn legend. so if we are compaing your music to his props!
