I just bought this di box

Hello everyone i just bought my first di box, im tired of just connecting it to my instrument input on my saffire24.

So i kind of understand if i were to be using an amp but how do i just connect it to Guitar > Di box > saffire 24?

Do i connect my guitar instrument cable to the INS. input. Than on the output XLR > onto my 1/4 instrument input on my saffire?

I have an option on my saffire to make my input instrument or line, i want it on instrument correct?


Is there a difference between xlr > 1/4 or should i xlr to xlr?

Is it possible to be playing guitar on my amp while sending the di signal to my interface?

I tried youtubing i couldn't find anything helpful i tried google but there weren't any explanations for these type of questions

Connect it to the mic pre/XLR input using the XLR out. Connect it to the amp using the 1/4 jack Amp (thru/parallel) out. Plug your guitar into the input.

Guitar -> DI box -> Mic Preamp In

Or if the signal is hot enough to not need any amplification (from active pickups at 18V for example):

Guitar -> DI box -> Line In
