How does one make an impulse, anyway? Cuz I'd love to do the same with my pretty

Check out voxengo deconvolver. Basically, you generate a sweep which you run through your power amp (fx return of a head) at reasonable levels and mic the cab. Then you select the original sweep and the micked one and deconvolver does the rest.
