That's why I said "Besides"... I THINK a guy like that can seriously damage the band with stupid interviews or things like that, I saw him on a few really really REALLY lame interviews for Vital Remains and Deicide. I know how it sucks for a band when one member is that problematic... or stupid.

Estoy de acuerdo, la imagen importa poco en el metal y me alegro un monton que sea asi jeje, pero mira a Blakkheim, Mike Åkerfeldt o Dan Swanö, ellos conversan tambien aca en los foros y tienen otro tipo de relacion con todos nosotros los fans, te imaginas a Glenn Benton aca, ufff un desastre...

I partially understand what you are saying, took a lot of Spanish in school, about 6 years or something, but I forgot too much!
i grew up in canada and lived there for 12 years.... and of course i learned french.

spanish is quite usefull, that's a good thing, you can use it in most of the south and center american countries (not brazil), mexico and spain, with french you are quite limited... in comparison obviously :zombie:
well thats not true, i took an 8th grade french trip to quebec and i did in fact use french very heavily. and when i went to france i used it as well.
i have a question, i know how alot of outsiders of the united states hate americans, but for people who live in other countries on this website, does your population generally dislike and make fun of americans?
the reason i ask is that i think that if there is alot of prejudice, then things like metal and metal forums can bring these people together from all across the world and be able to build a friendly community. its just cool to me to be able to talk to people from sweden/anywhere else about music and metal.

About the question... well, I have family in Chicago, so I like the united states obviously, good metal bands, fast food and The Simpsons. The problem here are your leaders... I think :zombie:.
Most of the "young" people of Chile, my country (well, only half), said that USA sucks, but they still go and eat in McDonalds, wear North Star shoes and see every fucken day MTV, mature people usually understand your situation and have a nice opinion about the american citizens.

yeah dude, ever since i moved from canada to the united states, i got so much more open to different styles of music, and it eventually led to me liking such a fantastic band such as bloodbath, opeth, kata, and on and on.
yeah it really does suck to have such a shitty government system right now, it pretty much paints a target over america. i honestly think im going to die in a bomb of some sort if i stay in the US. that probably sounds crazy. i want to move to sweden...or the uk..

I think Glenn Benton would be a horrendous choice, he doesn't have near the dynamic sounds to pull off anything Akerfeldt Or Peter could in my opinion. I'm really not much of a fan of most American "Florida death metal" music though... I wouldn't consider hardly any of the vocalists in that scene capable of Bloodbath's stuff

Benton is horribly overrated methinks. Much of his stuff is sheer studio tweaking. I'd like to see some oldschool swedish guy like Jörgen Sandström do the pwning

French is a good language to know (i am french) but i'll agree that spanish is really useful. I'm learning it this summer when I go to Honduras for 3 months. But knowing french (and I'm sure the opposite is true) helped me understand pretty much all you (bastard son and luz) were talking about. Any Romance (not in the sissy way) can help you with the others (except for maybe Romanian)
