I Love Cover Songs!

HammerFall, but their covers are pointless, as everyone is an exact copy of the original. Their latest offense is the horrid cover of MY SHARONA.

Eldritch has a kick ass version of that song. The cover song that whacks me the most is Lemur Voice's version of "Beat It". The jazzy/reggae-ish chorus will cause you take a mis-step. :u-huh:

One of my favorite's is the cover of the theme song to "The Neverending Story" by Dragonland.
Ha Ha!

I'm not "Ha Ha"ing...it's a great cover!

One of these days I'll get off my ass and post some of the All-Star Jam footage...

Make it a PPUSA site "easter egg" or something. 'Tis the season! :heh:

Please let the first one be the Kind Diamond cover. Nils owned that song.:kickass:

Okay, now we're just getting silly.

Well, instead of being such a fuckin' smartass about it, maybe you should've just told me who recorded the vox! If you want to discuss it further, maybe you should send me a PM. We'll exchange phone numbers.....

Britt, I appreciate you correcting me without being an arrogant asshole like Rycher. :kickass:

~Brian~

No need to discuss it further, and I'm not sure why you would want to.

If you were really that interested, it takes 10 seconds to go and look up, instead of throwing a little fit on an online message board while waiting for someone else to give you the answer.

How old are you? Stay out of it....

~Brian~

Queensryche's version of Scarborough Fair is awesome .... Tate is incredible on it, and you have to love how the band metalled it up.

This is *exactly* the song that came to mind when I first started reading this thread. Killer performance from Geoff Tate! I remember picking this up when it first came out as a "cassingle" and hitting the "rewind" button about 50 consecutive times.
