The only remix albums I would recommend NOT buying are for Youthanasia and Cryptic Writings, the originals are the way to go.

remastered Rust in Peace is awesome, countdown remastered too is awesome, peace sells too, otherwise go with originals and get united abomination. but for starters just stick with justice, puppets, and ride the lightning

Youthanasia is good as well

Mustaine never recorded anything for Kill 'Em All, but he had writing credits for songs on that album as well as on Ride the Lightning.

Also, Youthanasia is actually a pretty good album, better than Countdown by far.

Just pick up the original master of Rust In Peace. I remember when I used to play that album weekly... Think I should put it on now!

Fuck the remaster, didn't have the same feel as the original master.
