You're better buying a decent mic...
If you have a decent amp (By the fact you're in a band, i presume you do), you're better recording your mic'd signal instead of DI'ing through a multi FX.
I've discovered that in order for a DI tone to sound decent, you HAVE to mix it with a mic'd signal anyway to get the power and dynamics.
My advice, pick up a shure SM57.
