I now see the appeal in this 'core' shit. It's FUN.

In the midst of tracking guitars for our symphonic black metal album, my fellow guitarist and I got bored and wrote some deathcore. While I can't say I like listening to this sort of thing, it sure as hell is fun to play / engineer.

Guitars are four tracks of a Schecter C7 Hellraiser (EMG 707s) into a Countryman Type 85. Two tracks each of TSE X50 and X30.

Drums are S2 Avatar and MF.

Bass is... well, there is no bass guitar. Mine is in the shop, so it's a seperate track of the C7, shifted an octave down and processed with SVX + a LOT of EQ/compression.

No automation, barely any editting on the guitars. Just pure idiocy.

Really dig it. Especially 'cause of the Schecter Hellraiser C7 (I love mine :) )
Great sound, even if it would be greater with a real bass. But nice guitar sound!
