This is similiar to a situation with a friend. He saw a seagull high up in the air, and he decided to throw a rock towards it. He didn't intend to hit it - but he did! The bird fell to the ground, and apparently had a broken wing or something, because it couldn't move (it was still alive though). They were hitting it with a stick to kill it so it wouldn't suffer, but it didn't want to die. Then another guy came, carrying a HUGE rock, dropping it on the bird. That did the job.

Pretty sad, really.
