I'm going to have to try this (the temp harness style mod), as I'm unimpressed with the EMG's (81TW and 89) in my new Hellraiser. It's not bad sounding, I just seem to prefer the sound of good passives (especially my SD SH-12).
I want a new guitar setup. Advice?

I've modded my ibanez sz with 18v on the 81 in the bridge (its more of a stage guitar, no neck pickup as i can't solo for toffee)
i'm just ordering the parts to put together my Ltd M-350 (need a few bits for the floyd... pain in the arse!!)
I've got an 81-85 setup ready to go in that, gonna throw the 18v setup in it, gives you more clarity i reckon...
my question is, 85 or 60 in the neck??
