first you need a drummer like that then you'll need a drummer that tunes his drums properly and the right mic'ing and you'll get as close as possible.

That's just like a solo/backing track for Bobby's instructional DVD. The kick sound is pretty phenomenal though, I agree. Evans EMAD batter skin with an AF patch on a Pacific 22 x 18 bass drum with a black EQ3 resonant head according to his website!
