I hope they start putting EMG's in the american models sometime soon, cuz then people won't have to swap out the pickups as often as they do.

So do I, hence, I sold all my Ibanez guitars and replaced them with ESPs in the past year or so. That RG7EX is pretty cool though.

yeah the prestige series seem pretty awesome... i would like to try a prestige bass for once.

to bad that quality is realy different in the ibanez range of products.

Are you sure they were emg hz's? or did they look emgs ive have seen the new ibanezs with "emgs" style pickups but werent emgs

ibanez released this guitars after cort released a neck through with emgs, which by the way is my latest guitar :Spin:
i guess they saw what the reaction would be with cort and now are putting this out to sell...
but my cort is preeeeeeeeetty cool

I noticed a newer S series that basically has pickup covers on it to make it look like EMG's....but they are still the Infinity shit pickups they've been putting in em for years.

That first one looks sick. I've been looking for a decent 7 string guitar lately, and tried the RG7321, and it was a complete piece of horseshit. That one looks like a higher quality fixed bridge 7, which is what I'm searching for....

ESP does the same thing, their Japanese line wipes the floor with their American offerings. More shredders in Japan, it seems?

been looking for a new Ibanez.

I get the Paul Gilbert model and replace the pickup with emg81, 85 .

Be good if they just did all that for me.

Out here in Australia we pay around $3000 for a Jackson with the emg 81, 85 already setup, better off picking an old 80s guitar and changing the pickups

The second link (RGT6EX) is the same as the new 'RGT42DX' that has come out accross Europe & America but with EMGs & differant fret markings.

I like the direction Ibanez are going in with this. Affordable neck-thrus & decent pickups etc.

Yea it only took 20 years for them to finally realise they had it right in the late 80s .... lol


Now if they would only bring back the Edge Trem. I'd start playing them again
