I love IE, cant believe all of you are bashing them like that. The new album was about war, and th ey did one little triliogy on the civil war. All of the other songs are about, lets see, other wars that involve other countries too. Its good stuff, im sad to see they lost another band.

Im a Richard Christy fan & I was upset about it until I heard that this guy thats replacing him is amazing, as in just as good as if not better than Christy. I trust Schaffer & I think he wont let us down with the replacement.

The drumming for Iced Earth is perfectly adequate. As long as it compliments the music holistically, one shouldn't bear any qualms with simplistic drumming.

Too bad, Richard is a great drummer. I wish him the best with whatever he ends up doing, hopefully he will get the comedy gig.

I saw Iced Earth 4/29 with Children Of Bodom and Evergrey. One of my all time favorite shows and one of the best bills ever. Ripper is great with Iced Earth and I think they won over all the fans who had their doubts about Ripper. I have tickets to see them on their second leg of the tour June 14 at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ. Trivium and Beyond The Embrace are opening.

'ello all. I couldn't find an actual forum for Iced Earth, and since you guys are discussing them here, I guess this is as good a place as any to ask this. In the song Damien, at the very end, there's this little things that's not given in song lyrics... it start like this:

Nazarene, what can you offer?

From the gaping wound(?) of a woman

etc... What's that whole thing? Anyone know?
