Don't think so. Problem is that nothing's actually pumping the oil up, or they could shut it down and problem solved - I'm pretty sure the oil's pouring out dut to the pressure of the oil reservoir itself.

5,000 was BP's estimate, apparently the real number is 12-20k. Talk about shitting where you eat.
