ideas about the oil spill cleanup?

Don't we have remotely operated deep sea exploration submersibles? Why can't those be used to work on the damn thing??

If we can install pipes that far underwater, shouldn't we be able to repair them?

For now, they should use hemp fibers to make oil booms due to their absorbency & sustainability :)
Grow hemp for oil, haha!

Set it on FIIIIIIIIIRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRE!

Fuckin' A

BP needs to put every single unemployed resident of Louisiana to work on the cleanup - pay all of them a decent wage and absorb every single fucking dollar of the expense.

Am I the only one who cringes every time I hear about this spill?
I avoid the news and images of this like the plague... it depresses me to no end... Jokes aside, this is a huge serious problem.
Did you know that the pipe is gushing oil as you read this? 5,000 barrels a day... that's freaking horrible.
Poor ocean :(

You would think that right?
I'm the same way... "JUST FUCKING SEAL IT" I mean fuck... we have all this technology, and yet, we can't even do that.

It kills me, absolutely kills me inside thinking of that poor ocean :(

At this point it's not something they can just flip a switch to shut off; it's busted as fuck. I think they're currently trying to plug it with mud or cement, no? Truly a huge, HUGE disaster, and I really don't have a good feeling about this effort to plug it up :erk:

Another disaster for New Orleans; I mean, there goes their food industry.

5,000 was BP's estimate, apparently the real number is 12-20k. Talk about shitting where you eat.
