There hasnt been much (if any) talk about peoples opinions about Iced Earth's new Disk. What did you think of Tim on Vox? and the riffs....tickle your fancy?
I personaly would rather listen to any of their "Mat Era" albums, but Getysburg*spelt wrong, too lazy to find proper spelling* was not as dissapointing as the rest, so thats ok. I'd still rather Dante's.

You should check the 3 reviews that are put in the " your reviews " section. There have been many replies about those reviews so don't say that there hasn't been much talk about the album!

I think it's good, I do enjoy it, but I can't honestly call it my favorite IE album. Best songwriting from the group so far though, in my opinion. Tim does a really good job.

Best song-writting?? I don'T get it. If you listen to NotS and then TGB you see a major deteroriation in song-writting. Repetitive songs, nothing new over the years.

i actually thought that TGB was a bit of a letdown. I reckon that Barlow is an infinitely better singer than Tim Owens ( IMO The Ripper will always just seem to be a halford wannabe) and i don't reckon his vocal style suits Iced Earth they need a singer that sounds a bit darker if you know what i mean.

As far as the songs go, they aren't too bad but the riffs are no where near as memorable as DS or NOTS. the most standout song for me is definitely Red Baron, Blue Max.

Anyway, on a side note, does anyone know if Matthew Barlow is in any other bands?

Matt is done with the music business for now.I love the Glorious Burden and think its a great album. Tim and Jon were on Friday Night Rocks with Eddie Trunk last night and they actually played a few of the songs from the album on the radio. I even won tickets to their show with Evergrey and Children Of Bodom in NYC. Cant wait.
