Eh. Don't worry about playing too quickly right away. It really does take a lot of time to be able to play quickly and with proper technique. If you are wanting to be able to improve your ability to play your instrument, I would honestly recomened spending some time practicing scales-- a lot of time. But don't just play the scales in a linear way, pratice them creatively, by coming up with specific ways to traverse the given scale. Start slow, if you can play the pattern perfectly 15 times in a row, move on to a higher tempo. Do this until you're sick of the pattern, then move on. You will likly find that your fingers arn't that strong, so you will have to strengthen your fingers. Look up finger strengthing exercises for this.
