Please feel free to stop by the Cabaret Room in the Orleans Hotel. I'll be throwing down some R&B with some mighty fine musicians ( but sadly no Bruce Conte - he's on the road with Tower of Power).

Tim Scott ( from Jack Mack and the Heart Attack) on bass and vocals, Les Falconer ( from Keb Mo's band) on drums, Ruben Valtierra ( of Weird Al fame) on keys and Vinnie Turturro on guitar. We play from 9:30-LATELATELATE tonight ( Wed the 20th) thru Sunday the 24th.

Hope to see ya if you're in the neighborhood! :)

wooohooo! great job girl! my fav was that norah jones song. kick ass band too - thanks for introducing me that was sweet :) and getting tim to push his song to second set - excellent! sad song tho
break another leg tonight!

Ohhhhhh I snapped!!!! I was staying at the hotel from the 19th and I got back today. I didn't know you'd be playing at the Cabaret Room, there was an 80's band playing there the night I arrived, the guitarist dressed like Slash. The following two nights I was casino hopping on the strip. If Bruce Conte had been playing there, I might have seen the name announced somewhere in the casino and put two and two together, but I sooooooo missed out!!! ALTHOUGH, on Wed. night I might have seen you walking by, were you wearing a black jacket, hair straight down the back, and a black purse with metal studs on it??? I couldn't be sure since you gave a quick right along an aisle. I hope you guys had a great time Aja.... by the ways, it was so cooold outside, the bottles of water i had in my car felt soooo cold, like my fridge.

Aww that would've been fun to see ya there - they were billing us under the bass player's name which is why you didn't get the connection to Bruce. Wow, good eye for details, kalifguy - that WAS me!!! Yea we were supposed to start on Tues but they double booked it with the 80's band and we ended up getting the night off.

Wish I could say maybe next time but I think this was the last hurrah as they have changed entertainment directors there and are going to a new format - more like what you saw on Tues. Even though we've always done pretty well there thanks to the music lovers who come to hang, this band is just kinda different from the norm there.

It was fun to see Sara though I wish she could've seen the band with Bruce- he's just the king of tone and rhythm for this kind of stuff. But I hear the guy we're playing with tonight - John Wedemeyer - is a monster player - should be fun even though I've never met nor played with him before!!! WHEE!

Hey, that was you!! I take special notice in people who look like they are into metal, that is why I remember you. I have a little antennae on my head which recieves that vibe. I'm sorry to hear it may be your last gig at the hotel, hopefully another hotel in Las Vegas might bill you, it would be nice to see you there again. I did start to notice the difference at the Orleans since the late 90's when I first started staying there. Hopefully, Sara and yourself had a good time as well, you guys deserve to take a break and relax. By the ways, Merry Christmas to you and everyone here, easy on the egg nog, and enjoy the fruitcake! :)

Well you know what they say - when one door closes another two open - and all good things come to an end one way or another - it was great closing out the week with John Wedemeyer on guitar - he lived up to his rep and then some! :headbang: A wonderful and inspiring player and person - and very diverse in his musical stylings - he said the last song he played on the gig he came from ( he was playing at the Bellagio earlier that afternoon) was Crazy Train! So check him out if you get a chance - though someone big will snap him up soon, I'll bet! His vibe is just too good to ignore and his chops are SICK!!!! :worship:
