I buy every album I deem worthy of purchase. Although I only buy online, paying £15 for a CD is a down right rip off. If every album was £5 in stores I'm sure alot more people would buy CD's.

If it's a band I know I like, I try my best to not download leaks and get the CD when it's out. I only buy music if I like the music AND the members of the band. If there is a band where the music is good but I think the members are idiots and act stupid outside of their music, I just download and keep the mp3 files but don't support them by buying their album.

one of the reasons i buy CD's, besides just liking them and showing the label that theres interest&support, is that my stereo is somewhat of the older kind, and it doesn't like CD-R's at all, they start to skip and make weird noises, so to play CD's at my home stereo i have to use an original disk, but also; Feels good man :)

I dont think downloading music is bad. I do think buying it is good.

All CDs I buy never get played anyway, I download then buy my favourites of whatever band I'm addicted to at the time.
Give me an artist of reasonable pay, that stands up to downloading music, and maybe I'll consider it.

I don't think many people could say, that if a new album by their favorite bands that they're eager to hear was leaked on the internet 2 months before release, they wouldn't download it to check it out, even if they intend to buy it

^I've done it quite some times :)

But anyways, I agree with Ensi and Cliff Burton. E.g. I was really waiting for new Sonata Arctica's particularly after listening to the Flag In The Ground single, but just in case I downloaded the album before preordering it. I'm glad I did, I hate every single song besides Flag In The Ground, so I've bought the single and I'm done.

Downloading is legal here, uploading isn't.
Allthough I like Ensi's method I don't have that much real albums.

I was going to see them for the lulz, seeing as they are pretty much my first metal concert :p.
But they are opening for Dragonforce :( not gonna be worth it.

Then definitely not worth it. They'll play 10 songs, 3-4 of them will be from The Days Of Gheys, 1-2 from Unia and then the remaining 4-5 a mix of the other 4 albums, which equals to shit imho. Plus you pay extra to have Studioforce headlining. Wait till they headline and then I'd recommend going to check them out.

I wanna see Sonata.....and I was told that they'll be playing for an hour. At least I hope so! So when I looked at the setlist, I was sad.

WHERE'S VICTORIA's SECRET?!?! And The Cage isn't there either...:(

eh, we'll see what happens. Maybe I'll just go after the show and get some beer with them or something.
