Looks good. Ive got a XXX cab I run my Peavey JSX through. The one in my aviatar. It sounds pretty good. You should not need that Tube Screamer plugged in.

I always use the ts-9......for the same reason most people on here use one, it makes it sound better.

I sold mine (Tube Screamer) a few months ago on ebay. I just use a combination of the crunch channel, the lead channel, and my volume knob on my guitar to get the same effect. Just me. I used it with my Epi Jr. a little. But it was collecting dust most of the time. Sold an Ibenez Tube King at the same time. Once I got the JSX head I didnt use them. And I know the Triple XXX head has more gain (distortion) then the JSX.

I just prefer the sound with it. Really need to spend a few hundred more and get some kick ass el34 tubes, and some v30 speakers for my cab now.

I don't know if "sweeter" is the word. Definately more pronounced, more "rock" Marshall IMO.

Edit- by "rock" Marshall, I mean it's a mid range hump that really cuts through. It can be abit wierd for playing rhythms.

I went out and did a quicky with my JSX / XXX cab combo. I really like the XXX cab. The tune has some midi parts in the beginning, skip them if you want. But you will get an idea of the cab sound. The JSX is pretty damn close to XXX head in the Crunch channels. Im not using a Tube Screamer either

Yep, I've heard this amp kicks even more ass with EL34's!

Brand new as such, it's shop soiled (not soiled much at all, only a few people played it from what I've been told). And I don't have the footswitch, but I still get the full warranty with it, so I'm happy.

Ha Ha !!! Why buy a nice head and use a tube weezer on it. I like my tone on this one. Has that early eighties sound. Tweek the knobs and you can get what-ever sound you want. If I want a Dimebag tone, all I do is tweek the amp, very simple. But I guess some just put everything on 10 and plug the tube weezer in. Sorry, but the tube screamer does nothing for me.
