There's this song/riff thing I put together. Help me out, I'm no good at mixing. Where should I start?

Superior Drummer using Deathcrack snare and Rarefaction Kick. Trilian for bass. My Baron K88 and Mesa 4x12 miced with a SM57.

If anyone can link me to a good humanizer for midi bass/drums that'd be awesome as well because that's something I know is pulling the mix down too.

Guitars are quite loud, and there's a lot of low end buildup of sorts that I think the guitars are a part of. I suggest messing with a high pass filter on them some more. Also, the drums sound fine, but they could come forward more, like some hardcore parallel compression hahah.

I can hear the kick changing velocity a lot, which tbh sounds weird, I imagine you did it in an attempt to make it more human, but it's overdone and sounds like someone who can't play hahaha, try to make them all pretty loud velocity wise and see how that sounds.

And sorry I don't know of any midi humanizers, I just use the shit in pro tools.

I took your advice and changed things a bit. How's it sounding now? Also there's no velocity changes on the kick drum at all.

@forrestman, im starting to hear that it has a bit too much gain as well. Thanks for pointing that out. Also the bass tone isn't all that great.

I got rid of that clean section and just put something else in there, I also did a few things here and there.
