i'm not bad

yes i do.i also have my students to remind me of that
and please don't try to cover it up for you're self and face it ;)

i'm not covering nothing, i think i'm happy with my progress... just saying that i can't see anyone picking up a guitar from zero and playing better than me in a week or 10 weeks

correct! but its still doesn't mean that it's impossible though...
so hashhhh little puppy

bullshit... there is no way u can get that much speed in

Erm...that was not speed...Practise your alternate picking loads then you will get real speed. Also legatos and stuff. but to be honest I dont think that was very fast in the video anyway.

Bullet for my Valentine sucks ass, although pissing off the bassist was uber fun.

Back on topic, Needled 24/7 is a relatively easy song to learn/play... But I doubt anyone could learn to alternate pick that fast after one week. Give this guy a break, for 10 months this is good progress.

yeah that really did suck, learn some decent picking patterns and left hand shapes and do it again, nice pickin speed though
also, who did you say it was a solo like? i couldnt hear it properly

By the way, that was Draznog's vid... I just put it as one of those youtube insert dealies.

I know what you mean by sucking on purpose though, I do that shit sometimes when I feel like it, but most of the time I'm just fiddling around with every effect I can while simultaneously doing bends and karate chopping the whammy bar ala Steve Vai (My idol). But for those people out there who only care about speed, yeah I can play real fast cleanly.

But I doubt anyone could learn to alternate pick that fast after one week.

Well I dunno, for a long time I was not bothered about speed so I never really practised alternate picking at a fast rate. Then when I thought I may as well start trying to speed up, I got the hang of it pretty quickly....really quickly actually.
