Poser guitar playing?

Ok I have been playing guitar for about 1 and half years and some guitar players are realy great BUT

Some guitar players go ape shit while playing? jumping up landing on knees throwing the guitar like crazy ... u get the picture, and they play some fairly hardish technical shit. Example of this is in this Alexisonfire -pulmonary archery- vid

Now i dont See them doing that live and still maintaining good sound?Well I havent seen them live so i dont know, which is why im posting.This isnt a flame post or anything and I think Alexisonfire is good band and all...but

what do u guys think about this in general?
