I'm glad that fuck Atkins is dead because this shit is brutal. The firat 2 weeks were agonizing and I am sick to death of walking through the food store and staring at potatos. AHHHHHHH!!!
 
That would be cool if you lost all that weight.then you would be to go in the ring and box scott ian.there would no handicap.both you guys would probably have the same weight by that point.but remember no biting the ears,no tugging on the beards,and no throwing of the the jewish beanie. :D

That shit is hardcore Bill. I'm a carb junky man. I can't live without some good semolina bread. I eat macaroni almost everyday man. I need to go on a diet cause I'm a fat bohemeth.
 
I'm doing (ok did and restarting) South Beach as it isn't so much like a diet as it is changing your eating patterns (hm, make sense?!). Lost 30 lbs last time, back up 5 over 4 months time right now... not bad for eating a lot of crap foods! Going back on South Beach now so we'll see....
 
Dude, I stopped drinking Pepsi (I was addicted to it) and lost 15 pounds. I now only drink diet Mountian Dew, or Crystal Light . I got so fat drinking all the free, sugar sodas at work.

Yeah that too. I stopped drinking all normal sodas and that made a huge difference. All I drink now is Diet Cherry Coke or Diet Wild Cherry Pepsi, they're great!

u have to be carefull on that diet. the by-product of excessive protein digestion is ammonia, it also causes kidney stones, so make sure u drink alot of water. the best thing for one trying to lose weight id to eat three squares the same time every day, snack only on fruit and vegs. and exersize (at least 20 min of cardiovascular)
p.s. if u notice that alot of fat people gain back the weight quickly after massive weight loss, it is because they fat cells shrink, they do not dissapear. that is why formerly overweight people gain weight faster than thin people. that is why u have to make a change in eating habits and not revert back to the bad habits . take it easy

Thats what I usually do. If you just cut out sugar you can lose weight fast. I try and only drink water, and beer...but the beer is getting to me so I have to stop.

Carb diet is a good way to lose some weight, but I go to the gym and run to much and need those carbs for energy. Ive never seen anyone place 90 minutes of soccer without having some carbs recently.

I appreciate the imput and i'll keep it in mind. I am eating well and I guess that it's just time for me to get in shape again. This time i will try and keep it off. I atually lost over 90 pounds once in 1992 but I hurt my neck and back in a bad car wreck. I have a pic but i don't know how to load it up for you to see.

That is the key-cutting out the sugar. Do not drink any soda-even diet. Just stick with water. For me when I get the muchies I start slamming water. I mean just start chugging it and do not stop untill the urges pass. Yeah, Its rough but I dropped 50lbs. and kept it off so it worked for me. :headbang:

I´m dont get upset very often but when I see people att McDonalds who order the largest meal (with desert) and takes a large DIET-COKE with that cuz they don´t want to get fat I feel an urge to smash some sense into them with my tray (and thereby get some exercise and loose aggression).

Oh, a tip or two on jogging, taking walks and running ( I learned this from a teacher ). It´s not the distance you run but the length of time that matters. start with 40 minute walks when you start your diet. Your body is built to carry a certain amount of mass and your knees and back take a lot of punishment if you hit the tracks when you´re not in shape. Loose a couple of pounds before you start running. Switch to jogging/running when you feel comfortable and take a quick break whenever you need to drink and catch your breath just keep the total time you exercise to 40 minutes.

Why 40 minutes? That´s roughly the time the white muscle-fibres (endurance) need to get exercised. It´s easier to train when you have some endurace and you are less likely to hurt yourself. When you feel you can do this increase the time to a hour and so on...
