The line up for ProgPower this year is not my cup of tea at all. I've seen SyX 3-4 times now, I'll catch Evergrey on their own tour (and even then, maybe), and Rage will be at Wacken anyway right? Mercenary will rule. Otherwise, the line up is arse.

Since we've got Wacken, and it's SO close on the calender, I might just save all my adrenaline and expenses for the Germany trip. Wacken is going to be amazing!!!! I told you about the Mercury Hotel right?

It's not necessarily the fact that the line up is bad (although it's far from great), it's the fact that I can't justify the trip to Atlanta. Cleveland BW&BK - I can totally see why you guys would want to go. Wacken - self evident. But ProgPower IV aint ProgPower III, or II, or even I....

I wish Glenn could have got at least one 'big' band in the line up - you know, a Helloween or an Opeth.

Thanks to the info from Ice Maiden over at metal-rules.com, she goes each year, and all the major players stay at the Mercury Hotel. And yes, that's our hotel.

The hotel staff rule apparently - they don't mind the noise, the mud, or the boozing. And of course they have a restaurant/bar that they keep open for the Wacken bands and fans.
