I am programming drums using Cubase and Superior 2.0.
Superior is great but its' crashmute sample tends to randomly decide if it wants to be muted immediately, or slightly late. I want full control over the muting of my cymbal.
Any way of doing this?

Reaper has transient programming via rectangles for sustaining vsti, and diamonds for "drum mode". In tempo, drum mode has always worked for me. Worst comes to it, volume automation on the overhead channels.

I think you could in theory fuck around with the number of samples the cymbal is allowed to use and limit it to the one number where the correct choke(s) is/are.

But its obviously retarded, so I'd try to edit it or put the samples in by hand, or do the "diamonds" method as explained.

Well I'm using a pretty old version of Cubase.
Cubase 4 LE to be exact.
