Impulses

Just saw this from Pluggos site in FAQ:

I've heard that Pluggo for OS X no longer allow me to host other VST plug-ins. Is this true
It's true -- Pluggo for OS X no longer supports hosting of VST plug-ins. We found that it was a full time job keeping up with supporting all the different possible varieties of VST plug-ins that could be used, and that we'd always viewed VST hosting as more of a bonus feature for pluggo from the very start. If you're interested in hosting VST plug-ins, we would recommend dedicated VST wrapper software products such as the VST Wrapper.

I have the VST wrapper demo. I've left the main TConvolution file where it was installed and it did'nt show up in DP so I then moved it into the VST Wrapper folder and restarted DP. Both trys were a no go.

Here is a point of possible interest:

From TConvolusion:

- some bugs have been reported with digital performer and ableton live
try it, let me know if there are problems

Maybe I should let them know.

I use the TConvolution myself (on mac os x)! Thanks for the tip Brett! I did have alot of problems with it i Cubase LE, but it works fine in Cubase SE, guess SL and SX also will work fine. I also tried the demo for the Waves I.R. that one works fine as well and has alot of options! But I dont think Ill buy it, its to expensive..

Me? lol. It's great until I record it being that I can't crank it in my apartment.
I've looked into attenuaters, iso cabs, amp sims & convolution reverbs and nothing strongly appeals to me in the end when considering quality & cost.
I'm on a mac and Altiverb is $600 :Puke:
Even $300 is a bit more than I care for for a CR or AS. :bah:
I like tha Randall iso cab idea but I'll have to buy a new mic for it and do quite a bit of processing (which I might kinda suck at) to get a descent tone, not a great tone, plus it'll take up more room than I have almost.

I don't know what to do. I just e-mailed krank about removing tubes so I'll see what happens with that. Not expecting a cure though.
I'm thinking of just biting the bullet and using my GT-8 until I get a house which may or may not be this year. :erk:
I get descent tones from the GT-8 but the fizz thing that sounds god awful, I just can't get rid of. Low passing sounds like crap. Maybe my LP filter sucks. (Apple's 2 band LPF)
I don't know. Whatever. lol.
Thanks for asking though.

I've owned 5150 and Krankenstein, and the 5150 sounds much better at low levels than the Krank. My POD via stereo sounds better than Krank at low levels.
