yes it is!commandante said:agree The Bringer, btw the bringer is an awesome song, too...
i wouldn't go THAT far...it is shaping up to be better than R2R though. The Bringer said:way better then ... and Clayman
I like Slipknot. F(r)iend sounds like Slipknot. Its okay Its not the end of the world here. I still like In Flames and I still like Soilwork.SunlapseVertigo said:Since I listen to Slipknot as a matter of fact (hell, i own all 3 of their albums), i am in a far more credible position than all you Slipknot haters to decide what sounds like them.... and F(r)iend definately doesn't sound like Slipknot. End of Story.
Clayman is my fav too. It can't be close because Clayman had a great production and their new production style is sort of sloppy sounding.commandante said:yeah, as for now I wouldn't go as far as saying it is WAY better than Clayman, but I think it has the potential to be slightly better than Clayman which is my fav. modern IF album...
no, im telling you, i wouldnt care too much if it sounded like slipknot either.... its just that it doesn't. it really doesn't....SoilworkForever said:I like Slipknot. F(r)iend sounds like Slipknot. Its okay Its not the end of the world here. I still like In Flames and I still like Soilwork.
odd, I found R2Rs guitars to be buried in many parts, especially the leads. Lead harmonies that could very well have been traditional In Flames seemed very low in the mix and not as prevalent as on say "Swim" or something. I'd mainly be talking about the title track and songs like Dark Signs and Trigger.SunlapseVertigo said:and yeah, i don't like the production either.... RTR was muddy, but the guitars were for the most part loud and up front.... here they sound fuzzy and just lack power to me....or maybe not... hell, i really can't put my finger on it. oh well.
