In The Blink Of An Eye 2011

'The Great Escape' was officially released in the beginning of December 2010. In March this year it was finally officially released in Japan as well.
Very good news for us is the fact that a bonus song was added to that release: a re-recorded version of 'In The Blink Of An Eye' from 'Become'.

Here's a little snippet:

The updated version sounds really fantastic imo. The production is perfect and Tommy sounds awesome (I often wondered how a 'Become'-song would sound with Tommy).
It's not hearable in the snippet but some of the solos in the song were changed a bit as well.
So, what do you think?

Kazar, I also made the same question to myself. Andy sounds great, but the truth is that Tommy is unique.
The answer from the sw guys is more than better.
I suppose it will not be possible, but could re-record more songs from Become (it´s maybe a dream)

uhm, I wouldn't like it, that is a thing Dream Theater would do.

re-recording albums is a thing I've never liked. Each record is a piece of history and it's meant to stay the way it is, imho.
