which brings me to FIVE:
almost all so-called alt-country sucks ass because the bands either a) can't play b) are not properly familiar with country music idioms (aka POSEURS) and/or c) simply can't write a decent song to save their lives.
however, it must be said that I do enjoy the term "y'allternative".

as it has becoming a pandering version of People magazine, I have become increasingly disgusted by Rolling Stone trying to dictate public taste by fawning over certain bands, the White Stripes among them. That's why I was so surprised today to see a review of the Stripes' live show in which the duo was grilled unmercifully.avi said:
