I just want to add for clarification:

That most recent Locust album is easily the most boring "crazy" grind record I've ever heard. it takes serious effort to make 1 minute songs totally unremarkable. I seriously could not make it through all 20 minutes or so of the thing because it was so lame.

in their favor, they can at least play their instruments reasonably well nowadays. when I saw one of their first shows, it was just stupid skinny emo kids trying their hardest to emulate grindcore or "powerviolence" as they say, and failing utterly miserably. I suppose the experience soured them for me from the start, but they really haven't gotten much better. wacky only goes so far and the idea of adding stupid bleeps and bloops doesn't do any good. It was already worthless when Man is the Bastard did it 3 or 4 years beforehand.
