What'd you think of the Invader Dave? Seems like you managed to get pretty similar tones out of the 2 amps, Scott told me it's one amp per side?

Both sides sound very close.
Not a huge fan of this kind of 5150-ish very gainy and fizzy guitar tone though.
It took me a while to get the hang of the Invader. That's one of my issues with most ENGLs is that there's too much shit on them. With so many channels and options it takes me forever to dial in the best tone. In the end it was easier for me to start with the 6505, then dial in a tone on the Invader that worked with the Peavey.
I thought the Peavey sounded better straight from the mic but after eqing I was surprised how well the ENGL turned out. I had to work on it a lot to match the upper mid intensity of the 6505, but the lowend is tighter and focused a little higher. Made for a slightly more defined tone for lower notes.
Both tracks were reamped through both amps and the final mix was about 90% ENGL and 10% 6505 on the left and 90% 6505 and 10% ENGL on the right.

I actually much prefer this genre to be undeproduced with that whole old school vibe in the sound. With this kind of high quality production it sounds too overwhelming IMO.
