You would be surprised at some of the bands Muslim countries have produced. Some of them are pretty fucking good, even more so when their ethnicity merges into the music.

I wasn't even aware it had its on genre. But, metal can come from anywhere, be made by anyone. And, of course location and culture will influence the sound and of course the quality. Consider it will obviously have its own target audience most likely a band out of any non-English speaking country will most likely use instruments and melodies native to their culture.
