Right, I'd like to run this by everyone to see if a solution is available. I've got a pair of KRK RP-5 monitors, and an M-Audio Delta 1010/LT, and I've got them linked up with a Behringer Mixer (yeah i know it's not good, but I needed the volume control that the mixer gave me). The thing is I'm looking to upgrade to something like a Motu or Mackie Firewire interface, and ditch the mixer. I'd also however like to run my DVD player and TV through the monitors. Is there any way of running these into the interface, so I can still use the output volume control, but not have to swap the cables each time I wanna change input?

Yes, but if I run it like that, I have to have my PC on when I wanna use my DVD player, which I don't want to do.

Edit: Thinking about it, it would be no different with a Firewire interface. I guess I need always run some type of mixer.

with a 002 you have a monitor level,
and an alternate source tomonitors inpuit and switch

Lots of firewire/USB interfaces work as standalone mixers without being plugged into a PC - have a look around :)
