Inspiration

Just wondering really, where do you get the inspiration for the lyrics of your songs?

They're great, I was just wondering if it was osmething that came to you over night, or was it something that was worked at for months?

Good question! Speaking for myself, I tend to find that on the whole the lyrics for a particular song come all together. Something like "Far Away" is a story in it's own right. Normally the lyrics are written after the music and the lyrics are shaped by the mood of the music. Inspiration comes from reading and things in life generally and often a song takes shape from a melody that gets in your head when you are doing the most mundane of things. If you can still remember it the next day then it's usually a good idea...haha!

Doing mundade things makes you forget Steve? I would have thought it was all the smoking/drinking/partying that make you forget !!!
